I’m not going to lie I was so happy when March arrived because it meant that I was going to have baby Pippa. However now it’s the end of March and I’m writing this, it scares me so much that time is going so fast. I have set aims for April including having over 300 followers on Instagram, 50 followers of my blog, 10 followers on my Youtube and 200 followers on Twitter. This may seem small numbers but I want my aims to be achievable.
So let’s leave April where it is and focus on what March brought me.
My baby girl Pippa
Obviously going to mention it again and again. We all know I gave birth in March to my beautiful baby girl, Pippa so she is obviously going to feature in my favourites. I would include her in every months favourites, but I feel this would be too much..
If you are not a mum/dad then this probably doesn’t interest you.. BUT nappies in Aldi are only 99p for a pack of 24. This seems insane to me and although not for me, they appear to be good quality and we much prefer these in terms of sizing and quality to Sainsbury’s and Huggies. It does not surprise me that they have won award for them.. however Andy does not understand why the award is called Mother and Baby Award, when it should be called Parent and baby award (Truth).
24 hours in Police Custody
Back to my favourite thing to do, watching TV. If you don’t live in the UK you probably will not have seen this. It’s a documentary type series on Channel 4 based on that when police arrest an individual, they have 24 hours to keep them in a cell and decide whether to charge them with the offence or not. It’s very good and I love playing detective alongside them. I’ve learnt from the programme that you should always say no comment and the chances of going to prison are slim. It’s extremely gripping and if you do live in the UK and have not seen it, WHY THE HELL NOT?
Queer Eye (Netflix)
Another TV show, obviously. I have to watch this when Andy is not home because it’s not his type of programme and he prefers something with a bit more action. So rather than sit with him taking the p*** out of the men, I prefer to watch it in the comfort of my own time. If you haven’t seen it, it’s a remake of the original series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy and it’s just a good feeling TV show you can put on whilst doing work or feeding the baby.
Asda Pineapple mug
It combines my two loves; pineapples and mugs so what could be better? Of course it’s impractical to drink of, but for £3.50 it’s ideal and drives Andy crazy. My mug collection is getting a tad insane…but who cares?? Simple pleasures.
I like to share the love in my favourites and give a shout out of my favourite Blogger and Vlogger. This month features my new favourite Youtuber BrummyMummyof2. Emma is from Birmingham and vlogs about her family, hauls and love of mugs/candles. Emma comes across totally as herself on the internet and for that she is just my new favourite to binge watch her vlogs.
I haven’t read that many blogs this month due to other priorities and hardly touching my laptop. However a new one I discovered and am slowly binge reading her posts is HelloBexa.com. Bexa’s posts are colourful and diverse, sharing her personality and creativity. Go check out her blog you will not be disappointed.
Next month I’ll try feature more food and beauty items as I see these are missing this month. Let me know what you think of my favourites and if you have any recommendations yourself
I’m also on Instagram and post pictures of my life/food daily – check me out and follow me @Amikatie20
I’ve just started a Youtube Channel, Amikatie and post videos twice a week, including a weekly vlog! Check out the mess that is me over HERE
