Feb shopping haul

Hello guys,

This is something I’ve done in the past when I went to Manchester (Link here for a read of that blog post)and I quite enjoyed sharing with you my purchases at the time. I haven’t done one since and I bought a lot of new items recently… probably not the best time as I enter maternity leave.

I did make myself a promise at the start of 2018 that I would curb by spending, especially on make-up but when you have had the same item for over a year, you definitely need a new one. Most of these products I’ve bought either online or a few I’ve picked up in the last week or so when out and about.

I do have to say to myself when I’m doing make-up or thinking of a new recipe “you must try something new” but I’m a creature of habit unfortunately.

If you like this sort of post let me know by liking the post or commenting below

Mac eye shadow – Burgundy

I live for a eye shadow pallete and my collection is slowly building up. I have previously tried Mac Lipstick but never their eye shadows and I thought the colours were just dreamy. They are different shades of pastely pink and purples that can suit day or night. I also like how small and compact it is so easier to use when travelling. I’ve only used it for day looks so far but I’m excited to try it for a evening look sometime after the baby is born.

Pixi Glow-y powder- Santorini Sunset

I’ve only ever owned two highlighters before – one was Estee Launder and the other Barry M. I thought I need a change in highlighter now as I’ve been using the Barry M one for a longgg time! I’ve used this a few times now and it does provide a lovely healthy glow but if you buy it,  be careful as you only need the tiniest amount to make you look radiant

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

I’ve not used this yet as I’ve put it in my make-up bag to take to the hospital when the baby is born. It is affordable and it appears to be opaque but time will tell!

Clinique superfine liner for browns – Deep brown.

This is my favourite eyebrow product of all time FACT. I’ve had this before and it’s a bit pricier than other eyebrow products but it doesn’t feel as those your painting your eyebrows on and it is conditioning too. It’s very lightweight to hold and if I could afford too I would choose this every time.

Rimmel Super Curler Mascara

I’ve never been a fan of mascaras as I just don’t get the effect on my eyelashes like other people seem to get. In my head I expect I’ll look like the supermodel Twiggy when I’ve applied but in the end I just poke myself in the eye and swear to not do it again. Yet I say this and still wear it on a daily basis so it was inevitable my gross mascara that had been in my make-up drawer for over year needed chucking.

Can we all admit we keep make-up way longer than we should, for fear of hating new things?

Nip+Fab concealer

This was highly recommended on the internet world and I do love a good review. I am on convert of Collection concealer and have used it for the past 6-7 years? I have ventured into other brands but Collection concealer is just a good price and covers those eye bags. I’m yet to use Nip+Fab concealer but I’m hoping it lives up to it’s reviews.

Cath Kidston apron

As food blogger and foodie, I just had to buy myself an apron at some point. Although Andy did suggest a naked man/lady one I wanted to find some class in the kitchen. It’s got beautiful animals all over and it made of cotton material so can be chucked in the wash when I’ve got flour and tomato juice all over it. I’ve only worn it once since buying it and Andy suggested I wear it when cooking dinner the other night, but I told him I didn’t want to get tomato sauce on it.

Available from Cath Kidston shops

I picked up this Cactus from Primark when I was buying hospital bag items. I really liked the pot and my low-maintenance lifestyle lets me keep it alive without the effort of watering it on a daily basis. Maybe that can be my goal for 2019 is to keep a real plant alive? Hmm I will have kept a baby alive for good amount of time by then.

Available from Primark Home Section.

Hope you enjoyed this little haul and let me know if you try any of the products yourself
